Would you like to try a combo?

This morning I promised my kids that I would buy them some hashbrowns fromChick-fil-a on our way to school. We went through the drive-through, and as the guy handed me our bag, he said "Thank you ma'am".  My four year-old said, "Did he just call you 'ma'am'?~ What does he think you are, a grandma or something?"  Then she crossed her arms and said "That's just rude."

After fighting back gales of laughter, I explained to her that the young man was just trying to be polite.  I still don't think she gets it.

ASSume Nothing

From cbs.com
"ON THE NEXT SURVIVOR:
Rupert and Jenna are shocked to realize Rob is standing right behind them during a private strategy session.

One All-Star fuels a fiery fight between two tribemates.

As Tribal Council looms, the five remaining All-Stars feel targets on their backs. Who will be voted off, and who will make it to the Final Four?"

Okay, first of all, if I were Rupert or Jenna, would I be shocked that Rob is a scheming conniver?  Um, no.  I'd be shocked at how STUPID everyone was to let him and his smokin' ASS girlfriend get this far in the game.  But that's just me.  If I were them.

Next point.  One All-Star fuels a fiery fight?  YAY!  Finally, some much-needed drama in this game.  I hope it's more exciting that Weinergate was.

Who will make it to the final 4?  Rupert, Amber, Jenna, and Rob.  I shore gon miyus Big Tom.

Honk if You're Happy

I'm alive!

I'm finally starting to feel human again! My sincere thanks to everyone's well wishes. Of all things, my mom has been sick, too.

Today, however things are much better, thankyouverymuch.

My ex moved back to town yesterday, and wanted to see the kids last night. I dropped them off at his hotel after making him buy us dinner at the restaurant next door. I went home alone. Sheer bliss.

My mom called this morning to say that she is feeling better and would take the kids today. I merely had to shuttle them from the hotel to mom's. Woot! Alone again!

I had to go to the dreaded license branch this morning. Since they were closed yesterday, the line of people stretched out the door and onto the sidewalk. However, I spotted my ex at the front of the line, so I butted him out of the way, and within 5 minutes, I had my sticker and was out the door. (BWAH! As I typed that, my ex called. He just left the license branch~ one hour later. Hehehe.)

As I returned home a while ago, I heard the sound of birds chirping on my front porch. See, last fall I'd put a bird house right next to the front door, merely as decoration, but a pair of black-capped chickadees found the house agreeable and took up residence. Yesterday their babies hatched, and now they're in there happily chirping away. I left the front door open, and can hear them as I type this. So cute. I just have to keep any eye on my cats for the next couple of weeks. They are quite fond of wildlife.

So, you see, I'm in a better place today. I am alone, I don't have much work to do, and it is a beautiful day. Life is good.

I'll be back later today to do more blogging. I hope to see you then!
