The kids?  Are gone.
And it's raining.  Does it get any better than this??
Only slightly.  [Gives reader a knowing wink and pops open a beer]

Chances of Rain

I decided I'd better do some blogging this afternoon.  It's been rather quiet around here, so I haven't had  much to report.  DF took the kids Saturday night, and after selecting the outfit that I wanted to wear out on the town, I sat down at the computer, and didn't get up until after midnight.  So much for going out!  He's getting them again tonight, ( no, really!), so I'll have the opportunity to watch AI without any interruptions.
I don't feel like doing much of anything this afternoon, (other than packing the kid's bag~ that is a very pleasant task), because I got so much done before noon today.

I gave the children baths before school today, stopped for breakfast on their way in, and still made it on time.  While they were in school, (they only go for 2 hours and 15 minutes), I mowed my lawn, fertilized it, and did a bit of weeding and fertilized the flower beds.  Then I made a picnic lunch, picked the kids up from school,  and took them to the park where we enjoyed lunch and some playtime.
By the time I got back home at 12:15,  I felt like I'd had a full day.  The only thing I really have left to do for the day is a raindance. Naturally, the only time it hasn't rained lately is when I really need it to.  I know if I go out and use the hose to water down the freshly fertilized lawn and garden it will pour later.

So, all I have do to now is keep the kids inside, off the lawn until tomorrow.  Jacob just woke up from his nap, and is full of energy.  My only challenge is to keep both of them from climbing the walls until their dad gets here.  That may be my most difficult task of the day.

I Bet TVJunkie Thought of This First

     Casa Moda's S'more Maker.

For a mere $30.00, you too can make s'mores in the comfort of your own home.
What's next?  A special appliance to make toast?  Oh wait.  Nevermind.

This product is out just in time for Father's Day.  Something that Dad will
shove in the cabinet
next to the fondue pot and the sandwich maker.
Right after he burns the roof of his mouth on a
flaming marshmallow, that is.
